Arriving in Moray our guide will explain the importance of this archaeological site where the Incas worked with plants and foods to adapt the plants to different altitude levels, according to scientific research it is known that in the agricultural terraces can be found up to 15 degrees difference in temperature. After visiting the archaeological site of Moray, we take our horses and headed to the town of Maras , we do a small tour in this picturesque village where we will see a church that has over 400 years old, here in Maras we leave our horses, because we will take our transportation towards the famous “salt mines”, this place is exploited by the locals even from pre-Inca times, involves making small wells to hold water, this water contains salt particles that settle at the base to be extracted.
