OVERVIEW
The Inca Jungle Trail combines adventure activities like trekking, biking, rafting and zip lining, this alternative way to reach Machu Picchu is a tour oriented for people that are looking for adventure and something different, the tour offer an experience that is different from the traditional way to arrive to Machu Picchu the traveler will do activities in the nature, will be able to discover beautiful landscapes of the jungle, walk for routes that not too much people know y experience the adrenaline of the adventure sports.
DETAILED ITINERARY
1st Day: Cusco – Santa Maria
We start the tour with pick up in your hotel, we will pass by the sacred valley, we will begin the tour in Abra de Malaga where we will receive instructions and will receive the equipment, we will ride down to Huamanmarca (we will lunch in a near place), then we will continue to Santa Maria, during the route we can see how change the terrain and weather that start from a cold weather to a tropical weather, after some time we will arrive to Santa Maria where we will rest.
2nd Day: Santa Maria – Santa Teresa
After the breakfast we will begin our 2nd day of hike, we will make some stops during the hike to know about the nature and fauna from the area, also to know some customs of the people that live here.
After an hour we will connect with the traditional Inca Trail and our guide will explain us about the route, around the midday we will arrive to Quellomayo where we will take the lunch, then we will continue for 2 hours to arrive to Cocalmayo Hot Springs, where we will spend some time to relax, after we leave the hot Springs we will go to the last place for this day that is Santa Teresa where we will rest to recover energies for the next day.
3rd Day: Santa Teresa – Aguas Calientes
In the morning and after the breakfast we have the chance to do zipline or canopy, it will be around 2 hours, then we will start the hike to Machu Picchu hydroelectric, around the midday we will stop for the lunch,
Once we arrive to the Hydroelectric we will stop t recover energy and after some time we will begin the hike to Aguas Calientes, it will take around 2 hours along the rail road until we arrive to Aguas Calientes where we will rest for today.
4th Day: Aguas Calientes – Machupicchu – Cusco
we must wake up at 5:30 am to take the breakfast, the we will go to the bus station to board a bus that will carry us to the Machu Picchu Citadel located in the top part of the mountain, we will have 2 hours of guided tour, after this time you will have some free time to take pictures or go to the places you liked more, then we must meet in the entrance of Machu Picchu to take the bus to return to Aguas calientes, where you will have time to take the lunch,
in the afternoon train will depart at 15:20 hrs remember that you must be here at least 30 min before the time in the ticket, you will travel for around 1hr 30 min, once you arrive to Ollantaytambo you need to board the transportation that will be waiting near to the train station, you will arrive to Cusco around 19:30 hrs.

14:00 hrs – Arrive to Santa Maria

15:00 hrs – Arrive to Santa Teresa
3rd Day: Santa Teresa – Aguas Calientes

9:00 hrs – begin hike to Hydroelectric

13:00 hrs – hike to Aguas Calientes
16:00 hrs – arrive to Aguas Calientes
4th Day: Aguas Calientes – Machupicchu – Cusco
7:30 hrs pick up from hotel
8:00 hrs take Bus Aguas Calientes – Machupicchu
8:40 hrs tour in Machupicchu Citadel
11:20 hrs take Bus Machupicchu – Aguas Calientes
12:00 hrs time to take lunch
16:40 hrs train Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo
18:30 hrs arrive to Ollantaytambo train station, Bus to Cusco City
